The Athens Fibercraft Guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month, 12:30p, September – May, at the Lyndon House Arts Center, 211 Hoyt Street, Athens GA 30601.
The March 10, 2020 Athens Fibercraft Guild meeting program will be presented by Paula J Vester. Paula will present “It isn’t Really Showing Off: Competitions and Exhibits Help You Improve Your Work“. Paula will talk about entering exhibits and competitions in general, tips and some of her own ideas that can give us all “a leg up” when we enter, as well as remind you how you can enter the Georgia National Fair, and to come to the Fair during the season to see the creativity of and beauty that is created each year by the people of Georgia. The meeting will begin in the Fiber Studio and then move to the Community Room at the Lyndon House Arts Center for Paula’s presentation. Please plan to arrive at the Lyndon House just after 12 noon on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 so you will have time to socialize and peruse our library. The peruse our library part is very important because if you haven’t figured out which book or magazine is going to inspire you to create your Challenge Project which will be shared at our May meeting, you can do it at this meeting. We only have a couple of months until then.
